Dr. David Jowdy's profile
My road to becoming a Doctor began long before I was even born. My grandfather, Dr. Robert (Doc) Warner, was an Osteopath practicing in Upstate NY. While I never really knew my grandfather (he died shortly after my birth) I am certain that "Doc" passed along the genes to practice as a physician in the natural health field. As a teenager, I was introduced to Chiropractic by my best friends siblings, who were studying to become Chiropractors themselves. Their passion rubbed off on me and, at the age of 16, the seed was planted. I considered the possibility of a career in the health field -- athletic training, sports medicine or Chiropractic. As an athlete at New York Mills High School in upstate NY, I participated in football, basketball and baseball. In October of 1992, I suffered a spinal injury in a football game. While I recovered fully within a few months, I still felt lower back pain on a daily basis. It was then that I sought Chiropractic care. Miraculously, the back pain went away. It was at that moment that I was absolutely certain I was born to be a Chiropractor. I completed an Associates Degree in Math and Science from Mohawk Valley Community College in Utica, NY in 1995, where I was also a member of the Varsity Baseball team that participated in the 1995 Junior College World Series. From there, I moved to Marietta, GA, to attend Life University, where I received my Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.) degree in July of 1999. I stayed in the Atlanta area for the next three years practicing in multiple clinics, gaining the experience and knowledge necessary to open a private practice of my own. In July of 2002, I moved to Northern Virginia and opened Jowdy Chiropractic Center in Reston. Then, I relocated to the island of St. Kitts in the West Indies in February of 2009 and spent 7 months treating patients at Carib Wellness Center. In October, 2009, I joined the staff at the Hansa Center for Optimum Health. I am married and have 2 children. I am a sports fanatic, and in my spare time, you'll probably find me doing something athletic, whether it be golf, baseball, softball or mountain biking.

Hi Dr. Jowdy, Notice you not contributing much in the way of intels lately. Looking forward to seeing more from you in the near future. I am following you, and hope you will kindly follow me back in return.
I have seen a hockey game turn into a boxing match but this is the first time I have ever heard of a football game turning into a Chiropractic practice. Interesting story.
I read We Are Living In The Era of Toxicity and found it very interesting. A friend of mine who is an artist, was sickened by the toxin in the cadmium found in his oil paint
